Our Story

Tobias Noyes got his start in the driving school industry early on, working at his family's business, Colonial Driving School in Virginia. Over the years, he gained hands-on experience helping students navigate DMV requirements, court-ordered courses, and the full process of becoming a safer, more confident driver.

While attending University of Virginia, Tobias remained closely involved in the business, helping modernize systems and improve how students interacted with the school.

As the industry evolved, Colonial Driving School began focusing more heavily on what it does best: high-quality, in-vehicle instruction and hands-on driver training.

At the same time, a new opportunity became clear — to create a better, more streamlined online course experience for students who need to complete DMV-approved requirements quickly and conveniently.

Tobias launched Axis Driving Curriculum to do exactly that.

Axis is built specifically for online learning, making it simple for Virginia drivers to complete required courses from anywhere, on their schedule — with the same level of care and expertise developed through years of real driving school experience.
